We have added some new training dates to the course diary:
You can see all the new courses here:http://www.forestschools.com/book-a-forest-schools-training-course.php
We have added a new taster day to the diary too. If you wish to book on, places are limited to 2 per organisation and we require the name, email and contact number for each person attending.
From now on we are asking everyone who attends our taster days to make a £10 charity donation. For the date in July the chosen charity is Sheffield Autistic Society.
Sheffield Autistic Soc was formed in 1989 and became a registered charity in 1993 and is affiliated with the National Autistic Society (NAS). We receive no funds from the NAS though and provide services by fundraising it all from the public one penny at a time!
The services we struggle to provide include regular twice monthly meetings (one daytime, one evening meeting on the 3rd wed of each month), regular newsletters, telephone and e-mail contacts for direct individual advice, a summer playscheme for 8 - 14 year olds who are on the Autistic Spectrum (that alone costs over £6,000 pa) and a Christmas Party that welcomes all members and their families.
At the moment our members include over 250 families who struggle to support their Autistic people and many more members have Autism (including those with Asperger Syndrome) themselves.
