Beach School Funding opportunities

Hello all!

We have some exciting funding opportunities for some of our upcoming Beach Schools courses.

The Beach Schools and Environmental Management training courses are currently part funded by the Northumberland Area Of Outstanding National Beauty (AONB) in conjunction with Richard Wood of Outdoor Learning in Northumberland Ltd.


This means that training which would normally be £700 is now down to just £300 for the 2 day training course and 4 days CPD, with portfolio completion leading to the OCN Level 3 award.

Dates and venues include:


Longhoughton 28th and 29th November 2011


Berwick 2nd and 3rd February 2012


The CPD days (beginning in November) are based around each course and will involve working with children to complete the fire and shelter elements of the portfolios as well as drumming, storytelling and drama, beach activities and campfire cooking.

Candidates who have already attended a Beach Schools course with Archimedes may apply to attend the CPD days at a cost £50 per day plus VAT.
